While pugs are in foster, GPPR pays for all vetting, such as (but not limited to) spays/neuters, vaccinations, heart worm and fecal testing, medical treatments, and medications. As such, we charge adoption fees to recoup part of the investment so we can continue intake of pugs in need. The adoption fee is only a small percentage of what we spend on vetting, so we rely on generous donations from the public to help offset the costs.
