We recognize this application is thorough. We want the best for the pugs that have been entrusted to us. Please take no offense to the questions and answer as honestly as possible. The Adoption Coordinator/Adoption Team reviews all adoption applications and may ask for the input of the foster home if a specific pug has been applied for. Please note that we are an all-volunteer team with full time jobs. As such, applications could take between 2-4 weeks to process and we appreciate your patience after submission. Adoption Preference(s)

Please note that we are a predominately foster-to-adopt organization. When a pug comes into rescue, we match its behavioral and environmental needs with an applicant on file (a foster applicant or an adoption applicant who has indicated 'Yes' to being considered as a foster home).

The pug lives with the foster while the rescue pays for any veterinary care. Once the pug is medically cleared for adoption, the foster is given the first option to adopt that pug. In 2025, 79% of our rescue pugs were adopted by their foster home.

Due to this model, only a small percentage of our rescue pugs will become available for public adoption. As such, if you are looking to adopt a pug through our organization, your willinesness to serve as a foster home will expedite the process.
