About Maisey
- Name: Maisey
- Age: 4
- Sex: Female
- Weight: 14 lbs
- Neutered/Spayed: yes
- Housebroken: Goes outside on a regular schedule and uses the potty pads when human is away, if needed. Does not let you know that she needs to go yet. Can hold it a very long time.
- Crate trained: Yes, but I don’t use it because she was kept in a crate so much before being rescued
- Barks frequently: no
- Digs in the yard: no
- Good with dogs: yes, and really enjoys daycare at Pet Play Place
- Good with cats: don’t know
- Good with kids: does not mind them at the dog park
- Food/treat aggression: no but she eats fast and will move on to the bowl of the other pets
- Likes: her human is #1. She loves to chase small balls and fetch toys. She loves snacks and knows the snack routine.
- Dislikes: when her human leaves and being on the “wrong side” of a gate. She has figured out how to get over all my baby gates. Par cour pug!
- Special considerations:
- General health: healthy and tiny; has a small, benign mammary cyst that needs to be removed; may need soft palate work done
- Temperament: sweet
- Personality: Snuggly ball of energy
- Behavior: Maisey is a little shy when first meeting people and other dogs. Once she is comfortable, she loves to play toys with you and get snuggles. She has lots of energy. We are working on sitting calmly while food is being prepared instead of leaping toward the food. She knows to sit when the food bowl is coming She also knows the sit command when getting a treat. She has learned to stay off the coffee table. She loves to go for walks but still needs more leash training. This is when she really likes having a foster brother. Maisey was very nervous on our solo walk and does better walking with a sibbling. She gets along fine with her foster brother but they don’t really interact much. He tries to play with her but then she moves away when I am home. She is very attached to her human and will cry and watch out the window for your return. Ideally, she needs a stay-at-home pawrent. Car rides used to make her nervous but now she loves them. All it took was chick fila nuggets. Fasten her in or put her in a crate. She can and will jump out of a rolled -down window. Maisey is quite the little diva and will allow me to dress her in cute little outfits. She is coming with a wardrobe! You will fall in love with this little nugget!
